Helping each other to restore lives, homes, and neighborhoods devastated by the #MarshallFire.
A community isn’t only defined by the area in which you live – a community is also defined by the people who lift you up when you’re down and what you overcome together. Over the past few weeks, the strength and connection of the community of people in Louisville, Superior, and Boulder County has been inspirational.
Together, we have supported each other. Neighbors lending a hand to neighbors, working side by side to provide fresh drinking water, find lost pets, offer strangers a place to sleep, organize donation sites, crowdsource to replace mementos and stuffed animals, deliver hot meals, and so much more.
The power of community has been seen in the collective effort of volunteers, first responders, non-profit organizations, restaurants, businesses, staff, donation centers, food trucks, elected officials, and individuals like you. Thank you for being a part of this community.
As Helen Keller said, "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much". Together we will navigate this path. We will share heartache, hope, resources, and hugs. We will lay new foundations and create new memories. Together, as #onecommunity, we will recover and rebuild.
